According to the recall notice, the product that is marketed to temporarily relieve nasal congestion, sinus headache and pressure, postnasal drip, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching, was sold in 20 mL bottles packaged in white and yellow cartons.
Laboratory analysis revealed the presence of yeast, mold, and microbial contaminants, including Achromobacter, at levels that exceeded acceptable specifications. Such contamination poses potential health risks, especially to immunocompromised individuals. The affected product had been distributed through retail outlets and online.
